More broken image previews in known

This is the same image. This time, the on device preview is weirdly cropped to a tall skinny region in the lower left (still upside down).

Yes: I'm going to be at this, the 3rd consecutive Montavilla Hacks Night with Josh Lucy and I. Details on how to attend are in the event URL.

I'm working on setting up a new hosting node, using Kubernetes, but till then my only non-deprecated public-facing app hosting node is the one edrex.pdxhub.org live on: a 1GB @CoreOS / @indiehosters / https://libre.sh VM on @DigitalOcean.

Libre.sh is a nice containerized hosting automation script but ultimately a dead-end because it isn't @Kubernetes-based. Fortunately it offers a very straightforward app migration path because everything is a @Docker container with a standard structure.

Yes: I'll be hacking on hosting stuff mostly, and playing around with using Node-RED to make chatbots.

edrex.withknown.com was meant as a quick experiment to validate two technologies for connecting a website to the larger social web:

After a day using the system, I'm super happy with the results (need to do a postmortem writeup) and have set up a permanent site at:

edrex.pdxhub.org

Check out my post setting up a free software multi-domain host using libre.sh for details on the server build.
